Who I serve
Doula 4 a Queen supports families at every stage, including planning, trying to conceive, pregnancy, birth, and after the baby has been welcomed into the world. I work with clients of all backgrounds, and specifically seek to uplift Black women, women of color, and queer folk. I'm also here to support you if you've experience pregnancy loss due to miscarriage or termination.
My work & mission
When you hire D4Q, you can expect to receive authentic, compassionate, holistic, and non-judgmental support to put you at ease as you transition into a new phase of your life.
At D4Q, it is my mission to improve pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences for families living in Central New York and beyond. To that end, I also provide educational lectures to students, organizations, and healthcare providers seeking to change the culture of maternal and infant health care.
Bringing a baby into the world is hard work, and it can feel overwhelming. Working with a professional doula and educator can make the journey easier and less stressful for everyone involved.
I partner with healthcare organizations and professional associations looking to learn more about how to best serve communities of color and reduce Black maternal and infant mortality rates.
What my clients have to say:
I highly recommend Sequoia and Doula 4 a Queen services! She taught me how to advocate for myself and my baby, laboring techniques for my husband and I to do as a team and to know what my rights were as a patient.I had a high risk pregnancy and gave birth 2 weeks early. Sequoia was available before, during and after my child's birth and made sure I was doing good physically, mentally and emotionally. Sequoia had a major impact on my birthing experience and I could not have done it without her.
